I personally hate those sales parties and even though they say there is no pressure to buy there most certainly is. Many people have a hard time saying no, either to the invitation to the party if it comes from a friend, or to buying something even if they don't really want to. The mother has said no to the daughter and stated her reasons, which I believe are valid, and the daughter should respect that. I think the daughter is wrong to be angry at her mother for this.
