Romeo the Network Marketing Cat

I’ve been over at the MLM Watchdog site reading up on industry news and well it left me feeling a bit snarky.  So many tragic stories some of the reps for companies are going through and you can believe that more than most can be avoided.

I’ve been involved with MLM long enough to know that a lot of people think that choosing a company to represent is a “hit and miss” kind of thing.

This simply is not so.  There are many logical questions you can ask to avoid that.  The results are that you can get a lot closer to a 100%  guarantee for success.

I have also had many discussions with people that think that the product is the most important thing.  If I had a dime for every time I’ve heard, “the product sells itself”.  Ya sure it does.  That’s why so many networkers struggle with retail sales.

I agree you need great products.  Absolutely!  The products better be something that I can promote without having to sponsor someone or sign them up to the program to.  I also know that that my company pays me a great income which allows me to purchase from my friends who are reps in other companies.

Okay.  The next one I hear a lot is, “our compensation plan is the best one in the industry!”  If that isn’t a “parrot statement”  I don’t know what is.  Ask the presenter point blank, “How many active people do I need to make $10k a month in residual income?”  (it won’t matter if this is Your goal income or not)

If they can’t answer that question, then they don’t understand their compensation plan.  PERIOD!  Do I need to say more?

Moving right along.  Timing in the Industry and in the Company.  I am not going to subject myself to being a guinea pig for new companies to experiment on.  Do yourself a HUGE favor and don’t join a company until they have their act together.  (don’t believe the lip service here either).  And please, please, please don’t get involved with a techy product.  You know sooner or later someone will come up with something better, better priced or one of the larger, direct sale companies like Walmart will have it and your  business will become obselete.  Don’t kid yourself that anything different will happen.

Network marketing isn’t brain surgery, but you do need to be educated to be successful.

I learn from networkers that are successful and will tell me the truth…even if it hurts.  Join me, we can grow and learn together.  Start with the free ebook you see to the right,  “Success in 10 Steps”.
