I think the daughter is wrong to be angry at her mother for this. I personally hate those sales parties and even though they say there is no pressure to buy there most certainly is. Many people have a hard time saying no, either to the invitation to the party if it comes from a friend, or to buying something even if they don't really want to. The mother has said no to the daughter and stated her reasons, which I believe are valid, and the daughter should respect that.

Hi Eric
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment/ question.

People are very complex creatures. There can be a lot of reasons why people abandon their biz. Let's not look at it from the perspective of who is to blame. Let's look at it like this instead.

Network marketing builders are leaders. They lead the other builders to success. We can only lead those that want to follow those steps of success. We can not force them to want it.
Sometimes the passage to get there are like stormy seas. It is rough going sometimes. It can be a challenge to hold on.
What we need is a beacon of light to help guide us through those tough times.
That is what your "Why" is. It is the beacon of light and hope when your out there on the rough seas. We can feel the strength of the waves trying to pull us down, but our eyes stay focused on the beacon. It reminds us why we are doing the activities we need to do to live the type of life styles other people will only dream of.

So Eric you see its not a blame game. Do not blame yourself, do not allow others to blame you. As a leader you will need the help and support of a team to help you and remind you of your "WHY". You need a mentor to lead you so that you can learn to lead others. Remember. Network marketing is a "people business" not a sales business. Build people and people will build it for you.
Do you have a mentor in your life to help you stay focused on Your "WHY"?

I've been active in taxes for lengthier then I care to admit, both on the private side (all my employed life story!!) and from a legal stand since satisfying the bar and pursuing tax law. I've supplied a lot of advice and redressed a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you've posted makes impeccable sense. Please continue the good work - the more individuals know the better they'll be outfitted to handle with the tax man, and that's what it's all about.

Hi Henrietta,

I just got involved in a network marketing business. I have a question for you regarding the knowing what motivates someone. If a person abandons their business because you don't know their "why", is it you're fault their business failed or theirs?
