Imagine you’re at work one day, and your boss comes to you and says,
“Bad news, we’re going to have to fire you. Business is bad. And the economy stinks.”
You feel depressed. No more career. No more regular paychecks.
And then the boss says,
“You know what? If you were to work just one extra hour overtime every day for free, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, we’ll let you keep your job and you can continue collecting your same paycheck.”
Now, what would you do?
Well, most people would say,
“Well, I will work the extra hour of overtime just to keep my job. I know I will be working the extra hour for free, but it is important to keep my present job.”
And then the boss says,
“Well, I know it’s kind of bad news for you but there is some good news. If you work an hour of overtime, Monday through Friday for no pay, just one extra hour a day . . . at the end of two years, we’ll let you retire at full pay.”
All of a sudden, how do you feel?
You feel like saying,
“Wow! Excellent! What an opportunity! Just work one hour overtime for free, Monday through Friday, and two years from now . . . I retire at full pay!”
So what would happen?
You’re working overtime and six months later one of your friends says,
“Hey, why don’t you quit doing that? You’re working an hour overtime and not getting paid for it.”
You say to your friend,
“No way! I only have 18 more months to go and then I’m going to retire!”
A year from now, maybe your spouse says,
“You know what, dear? You’ve been working that free hour of overtime for the past 12 months. Why don’t you spend more time here at home instead of working that hour overtime?”
You say,
“No, no, no! Just one more year and I can retire at full pay.”
And you would be at work faithfully, Monday through Friday, working that overtime so you could retire.
And you would be excited about the opportunity.
Well, we have the same opportunity to retire with our network marketing business.
We ask people to spend one hour a day, Monday through Friday building a network marketing business. And all you have to do is talk to some people.
And you don’t have to worry too much about what you say or how good you are, because you know what? You’ll get better. The longer you do network marketing, the more you’ll learn.
So maybe after the first month you say,
“Gee, I really don’t know what to say.”
The second month you get a little better and say,
“Well, I know the name of the company is the Wonderful Company.”
The third month you get better at this and say,
“I think this is a neat business. You might want to look at it.”
And the fourth month you get better and better.
Just invest an hour a day. And at the end of two years you might be pleasantly surprised and say,
“You know what? I can replace my full-time income and retire for the rest of my life.”
So – would you take advantage of that opportunity?
If you are like most people, you will want to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. But, you won’t do it.
Here is why you won’t do it.
A little voice inside of your head is saying,
“But what if it doesn’t work? What if I waste an hour a day over those two years? What if I’m not good at this? I don’t know anyone who has retired in network marketing. I only know people who retired with a pension from a job. This might not be a sure thing.”
Yes, you’re going to have some doubt. You will have a belief problem. And that’s pretty natural.
So here is what we are going to do to help you with your belief.
To encourage you along the way, every so often we’re going to send you a check in the mail — just to keep your spirits up as you build your two-year business.
When you get these occasional checks, you will say,
“I know it works! I’ve got these checks to prove it.”
And that is why you want to start your business today.
Everyday it seems I have people asking me why I mentor people for free.
First of all I understand their skepticism. It’s normal and it’s healthy. But really, its a shame that people are so skeptical and cynical that they can not seem to understand how someone would help them out with no strings attached.
Do you think that maybe they are thinking that way because they wouldn’t extend themselves to help someone for nothing? Hmmm
You’ve been in network marketing for how long now? What kind of time and money have you lost, trying to figure it out on your own? Have you ever prayed in the middle of the night asking for someone to help. Ask yourself, what would you do to help someone avoid the problems that you went through. Wouldn’t you want to warn others of hazards ahead, or would you stand idley by and watch them get hurt?
One of the stories I tell people is this.
Let’s say your on a city street corner and you see a sweet, little old lady about to cross the street but you also see a huge bus speeding down the street. Its obvious if you dont do something she will be struck down. Do you ask her first for payment or do you just act and save her?
Well DUH! You save her right. Ok, now that you saved her life, do you ask her for payment? Of course NOT! What kind of person would do such an aweful thing?

Chapter1. Thoughts Are Things
This is my third time through the book…not counting
the times that I read it prior to the Mental Cleanse…
you know…the times when I couldn’t figure out why
this book was supposed to be such a big deal…it
even seemed a little boring to me then.
So much for the idea of a “30 Day” Mental Cleanse…
My First Time on Mental Cleanse started nearly
7 months ago on January 2, 2008. I think my life
actually started in a new way on that day…And
Now…Finally…the Words “THINK AND GROW RICH”
are popping off the page at me as I read this chapter
so many times that I think I have it memorized.
The process has been so gradual that it’s tough to
even measure the difference in how I feel now
compared to seven months ago. I think it is my
Belief level that’s changed….the KNOWING of it to
be the Truth and the Acceptance of that FACT
into my Being. I no longer need to THINK ABOUT
whether or not I can believe that THOUGHTS ARE
POWERFUL…I KNOW IT NOW. It’s difficult to
believe that I haven’t ALWAYS known it. Every
day of our lives, we prove it to be true.
Maybe AWARENESS is what is happening now. It feels
like I’m about to explode with the realization
of this TRUTH. And yet, I am also aware that if I
do not use this Basic Truth in a constructive way,
I am choosing to use this Basic Truth against My
Self. And there would be NO reason that I would
choose to do that if I am remembering that my
Thoughts Are Powerful Things…
especially when I activate them with emotion.
I have grown to respect My Thoughts in a way that has
never happened to me before. My Thoughts backed by
Definiteness of Purpose, Persistence, AND a BURNING
Desire for their translation into riches or other
material objects…Have I defined in my Mind Exactly
What IDesire? Have I adopted that DEFINITE PURPOSE
and am I standing by that purpose UNTIL it has time
to become an ALL-CONSUMING OBSESSION?
My Answer is “YES” and I Must Remember At ALL
Times…IT IS WHAT I THINK ABOUT THAT COUNTS!
I CAN THINK AND GROW RICH!

A few days ago I received an email from a person who simply asked me to call. So of course I did.
Once we exchanged our pleasantries and then started their speal.
This past month I have had the wonderful fun of being reverse marketed by several people.
Just few days ago I received an email from a person who simply asked me to call. So of course I did.
Once we exchanged our pleasantries, he started in with his speel.
“How would you like me to show you how you could place 10 people in your organization this week?”
I told him that would be pretty cool. (Knowing what was coming next).
He then went on to say that he could give me a number to call into and then we could talk some more after I heard the call.
I
told him I wasn’t interested in listening to a call but I would be open
to the idea of him introducing me to the 10 people he brought into his
business with this system.
Well he told me he couldn’t because he just started. Well gee, I can understand that. We all start somewhere afterall.
So I suggested he have his sponsor introduce me to the 10 that he sponsored that week.
He said didn’t have a sponsor.
Ohh well ok.
So
I asked him if he actually read the ad that I had placed that his email
told me he was responding to. He said that he had. I explained to him
that I coach/mentor network marketers and that I along with Mentoring
for Free show people how to build a great organization. He told me
that what he was trying to show me, is a coaching program to that I
could resell and actually make money to coach people.
I
explained to him that I do it for free and that all the training is
generic. Well he said he would go check it out and download the
ebook. Longer story short. He didn’t.
What amazes me is that
people will pay for a program that really isn’t a “proven system”, they
will pay thousands of dollars for programs that are supposed to mentor
them and teach them how to find and talk to their prospects but most of
those programs show you only how to “sell” not build relationships.
They
tell me they will at least look, but they don’t. But you know what,
thats ok. I know a lot of people who appreciate the help and the
wisdom they share and receive from the thousands of mentors that make
up Mentoring for Free. I am blessed to be one of them!

The effective use of our Imagination is required,if
we can visualize it we can do it,whatever it is that
we so desire.
However I know that for me to use my powers of vis-
ualization to become successful then I have to
develop pure harmony with my constant focus, my
auto suggestion and my visualization.
If I can visualize clearly my burning desire and
keep it in constant focus through the use of
imagination and visualization then I can achieve
that which I truly desire. If my use of vis-
ualization is sporadic then my achievement levels
will be sporadic.
The message that Hill is strongly telling us in
this chapter is that we need to as the saying goes
“think out of the box”.We can not allow the unused
muscles in our minds to lie dormant any longer.
We have to stretch them because what I now know is
that there is an answer for every question, is a
solution for every problem a work around for every
slight inconvenience. We can let nothing obstruct
our path to success and if we put our imaginative
powers to work when we are “inconvenienced” then we
will always be the ones that find solutions to
problems not the ones that are stopped by problems.
I was “working” too hard to believe – I was not
using my visualization everyday, not practicing
what I knew would work – Why I found it difficult
to belive it to be this simple I now know since I
have begun the daily practice of visualization tied
in harmony with my daily self talk that not only
are is it easier for me to complete tasks I can now
clearly see that I am on the right path to success
I know that I can achieve that which I focus on and
I can have my true desires all I have to do is begin
with belief, use my own internal powers of vis-
ualization, which grow stronger day by day and connect
those together with my self talk

Imagination: The Workshop Of The Mind
Synthetic imagination is used by people who arrange
old thoughts, ideas, concepts into new combinations.
This creates nothing and produces a long and slow
road to becoming successful. Creative imagination
is used by people who want to achieve greatness
and want to become successful in the quickest
amount of time by following a blueprint of achieving
that path done by others before them.
Creative imagination can be achieved by exercising
your body, mind, and soul…… The 30 Day Mental
Cleanse stresses eliminating negative chatter,
saying and practicing positive self-talk, and reading
“Think and Grow Rich”.
Like anything else that must be mastered on a daily
basis, soon the creative imagination will soon work
once it’s practiced every day.
The great ones such as Henry Ford, Thomas Edison
use creative imagination to help them achieve personal
and financial success.
The group from Mentoring For Free also uses creative
imagination. They are the ones who never miss a phone
call and are always on the 30 Day Mental Cleanse calls.
I joined Mentoring For Free in February 2008 and during
my second stint on the 30 Day Mental Cleanse, I have
used positive self-talk and get on the phone calls.
Using positive steps learned from the calls and the
lessons, I too believe that I can own my own life that
only others dream about. I myself will do whatever
it’s necessary to achieve that goal while associating
myself with a “Master Mind” group who feel the same
as I do and have taken the same path before me to
help me achieve the same success that they have.
If they can become successful in network marketing
which is the greatest vehicle in helping me own my
own life, then I should do the same and become
coachable doing what is needed to become like
them which means being with like-minded people
such as myself.
With creative imagination and like minded people,
most of the majority will use synthetic imagination
which I guess is okay for them but not for me. They
will travel the long road to becoming successful then
live in poverty when they retire not owning their own
life that they dream but not having.
Creative imagination produces a life of your own that
you get to experience thanks to network marketing
while synthetic imagination produces a life that you
never get to experience living in poverty during
retirement due to working a job for wages that barely
covers expenses.
The best things that I learned about learning how to
use and master creative imagination for myself is to
be in on all the Mentoring For Free calls and the 30
Day Mental Cleanse.
Then I too can finally sat that Iown my own life then
teaching like-minded people such as myself how to
do the same but only if they are willing to become
coachable like myself.

When I think of the synthetic imagination I think
of Michael Dlouhy always talking about stopping the
chatter in our mind. So if we are watching TV, or
listening to radio talk personalities our thoughts
are not really our own are they?
We think and act on what we see and hear. It is very
difficult to come up with a new idea if all we have
to use is the combination of others negative thoughts.
If we start now by collecting positive thoughts from
those around us, or even our own positive ideas, how
much more powerful would that be in creating a new
idea. Negative thoughts bring out negative ideas.
I do not think anyone will be truly successful by
thinking negative thoughts or having negative ideas.
So, if we surround ourselves with the good positive
thoughts and ideas of others, won’t we be able to
achieve success much sooner?
Michael and others tell us of their history and the
sometimes terrible things that happened in their
lives. We hear it weekly on the mental cleanse calls
from all sorts of different backgrounds, upbringings.
This is part of our cleanse, but do you believe
Michael or any of the others want you to feel sorry
for them or want to create a negative thought in you
head? NO!! ……….Just the opposite!
What they are doing is bringing out in the open their
actual success story of how they are overcoming such
a battle. It helps me to know there are people out
there that have actually gone through things I have
gone through and to know they are overcoming their
obstacles.
I do not feel sorry for them, I feel alive with the
thought that we all can make it thorough anything,
if we surround ourselves with this type of master
mind group.
It said that we use the synthetic imagination all
the time. We come up with new ideas from older ones
floating around our brains. So if we make sure we
are using the positive ideas floating in our brains
what great new ideas we can come up with.
Now lets take a look at the creative imagination.
My son is a brilliant boy with a wonderful creative imagination. He is 11 years old and invites new
ideas daily. As an adult in my own thoughts, never
aloud, I think “ya right like that’s ever going to
happen”.
As adults we forget how to have that creative im-
agination. We forget how to think outside the box.
My son does it daily and without even knowing it,
I put a negative spin on all his ideas.
I felt terrible about that when I first realized
what I was doing to his great ideas. So now when
he tells me of his next great invention, I help
him by making him write down the idea and help
him think of ways to achieve what he is trying
to do.
By doing this with him I am not only encouraging
him to be creative, but I am opening up my own
creative imagination.
Go back to childhood and think of some of the
things you wanted to achieve as you grew. Have
you succeeded at any of them? If not really look
deep into yourself and see what you can do with
those old ideas to make new ideas.
Children do not usually have the burden of the
responsibilities that we adults have, so it is
easier for them to come up with creative ideas.
Try to think like a child again. Stop worrying
about what your future holds for you and work
at it one day at a time. It is not so easy to
do, but it is possible!
You can achieve any goal you put into your head.
Do not think of what you don’t want, think of
what you do want.
We all can become the successful people we want
to be, but only if we use the resources we have
right in front of us. We all have great ideas
and desires, we all want something we do not
have right now.
But we also all have the power inside ourselves
to achieve it! I get more excited every time I
do a lesson plan. I know I am going to succeed
and I know it will be with the help of all of
you hear in this mastermind group.
By hearing and really learning from each persons
lesson they turn in and read on the call, I am
growing mentally every day.

Imagination
Hill says there are two types of imagination. The
one reorganizes known data into plans < He calls
this Synthetic And states it is the one most used
for changing the desire for money into it’s
practical equivalent The other type is creative
and this is employed when there is no known concept
for what is desired He says this requires practice
to re awaken and is never really lost
So to me.. as we work with MFF and the system we each
take the knowledge that is obvious and begin to create
a plan to acheive our desire but what we need to work
on is our creative imagination because for many of us
we are stretching beyond the obvious to desires that
we have never envisioned .
Each of us has to develope the ability to reach beyond
the obvious which we have lived with up til now and
stretch for the things that will take us to new dreams

Life Isn’t About the Breathes We Take but the Moments That Take Our Breathe Away
I won’t pull any punches on this subject. Buying leads has been one of the biggest scams feeding off the MLM industry and hard working honest people for far to long.
First of all, I too have bought leads when I first started my MLM career. I did it because my sponsor told me to. She told me to because that is what her sponsor told her and so on up the line.
I don’t blame these people. Their intent was not to harm but to be a supportive team. They were honestly trying to help the team to grow.
With that being said, I bought the leads, I followed the scripts I was given. I had a few people make an appointment to hear my biz op. But guess what? With the technology that we have today, they were able to see my phone number calling them back and they just didn’t pick up. I had other leads get mad and curse at me because several people were calling them day and night pitching to them their deal. I also want to point out that there were “fresh leads” that were never supposed to have been contacted before!
I had people hang up on me, wrong numbers and I put up with all kinds of abuse. A person can only take so much before their self esteem starts to suffer. That is when I stopped buying leads.
I want you to watch this video. Listen to all the brilliant people who spent thousands of dollars on leads and what their results were for doing so. These are teachers, people who worked for Fortune 500 companies, private investigators and other well educated people.
How does that make you feel? Do you feel that they were stupid and deserved to be suckered for that much money? If you said yes, I would have to disagree with you. Here is why.
Network marketing is a people business. People do not join a company or product as much as they join the person who signs them up. The sponsor promises the new enrollee that they will get all the training and support the need in order to reach their financial goals. Then they are told the need leads and buying leads is an excellent way to get them. So of course they buy some from one of the many brokers available.
Sometimes you will find that your upline is the owner to one of these lead companies they are telling you to buy your leads from. Do you think this ethical? I don’t.
Now, here is a simple little way to tell if leads will work for you. If you’re being told to buy leads, this is just a suggestion, but if you do this I would love to hear what happens.
First of all, ask the person who is telling you to buy leads, usually your sponsor but it could be someone in your upline, if they themselves were brought in as a purchased lead. If they say yes, ask them to introduce you to someone they brought in from a purchased lead. Then ask that person to introduce you to one of their person who they brought in from a purchased lead. Are you getting the picture?
If leads really do work to build a successful network marketing business, then they should be able to introduce you to at least 6 people, all in a straight line, that were brought in to the company from a list of purchased leads.
Simple as that!
